Thank you Tricia for inspiring me all this time!!!! I might have a bandaged foot, but I also have my second race under my belt. OMG, next year I'm going to come run a half with you!
GO, SOMMER! I remember we did close to a 5K just walking around the Vegas Strip that night, didn't we? And you did that for a race? Too cool. I hear this stuff is kind of addictive, in a good way. Here's to building the addiction!

Congrats, Sommer :)

Margo... I am splitting inside with intrigue. You sound almost like a writer/spy because of the secrecy, and I both love and hate that so much.

GO SOMMER! You PRd, too?! You're a machine! I love it! It's all downhill from here. You're going to start wondering if you can shave :30s or a minute off your time, or find a slightly faster pace. You'll look at hills with an "Eat sh!t and die!" mentality and love the burn in the back of your legs as you power up. You are your own super hero and I'm just BEAMING with pride over here.

And I'm totally game for a HM. If you want to do it in your home town, you're only 5 hrs away. I'd be there with bells on to run it with you!!

Two and a half years ago I started coming to this forum because I'd written a book and I wanted to know everything there was to know about getting it published.

Today it officially released from Turquoise Morning Press! For anyone who's curious, MEANT TO BE is now digitally available at Amazon, B&N, AllRomanceEbooks and Smashwords. The trade paperback will be available in about a month.

I could never have accomplished this without the help and support of several members of this forum and I'm grateful for all of you.

Hugs and chocolate for everyone! :)

I'm so pleased to finally be able to announce CARNIEPUNK, an anthology "which combines the carnival setting with the world of urban fantasy, a place of deception where monsters wait silently in the dark". My short story Recession of the Divine will be in it, alongside authors such as Rachel Caine, Jennifer Estep, Seanan McGuire, Kevin Hearne and Jaye Wells. It's coming from Pocket Books in August 2013.

*deep breath* Squeeee!

Congrats Hillary!

And thanks for the good wishes Mira and BComet!

I actually have a new SQUEE.

In April I attended the RT Booklover's Convention and I pitched some agents and editors. After multiple full request, an R&R from an awesome publisher and two offers of publication, I'm very happy to announce that I signed a contract with Samhain Publishing on a full length contemporary romance novel.

Very excited to be working with another wonderful publisher, especially one I've heard such good things about from other writers.

Oh, and I'm very proud to say that this book was my 2011 NaNo book----so that means both of my NaNos have earned publication contracts. NaNo ROCKS! Can't wait until NaNo 2012 starts---have a brand new project ready to go. Hope some Bransforumers are planning to NaNo with me again. The more the merrier! :D

Thanks, Cheeky!

And congrats to you! Over the years, I've developed a very good impression of Samhain. This will go to print as well, yes?

As it stands with my WIP, and the insights I have made in my process (I hope it is fixed now), I may be on that NaNo bandwagon. I hope it still counts, as I have spent a ton of time on it already.
