Never underestimate the power of poo throwing.
That is true. I'm sure that If I ever had poo thrown in my face, I'd be of a different opinion. Note to self: stay away from monkeys.

Wait! What about a cross between monkeys and bears? Then you'd have the best of both.

Whoever asked if monkies could potentially saddle bears... yeah, now all I can imagine is a terrifying Monkey-on-Bear calvalry sweeping over the land, destroying everything in its path.

They love nothing better than to see their enemies driven before them, and hear the lamentations of their women :(.

Ever seen the movie Planet of the Bears? No, no you haven't.

'Nuff said.

I can't decide, I can't decide.

What if the Wicked Witch dispatched the Winged Bears?

What if Smokey the Monkey told us not to start forest fires?

What if Goldilocks did a home invasion with the Three Monkeys?

Would you panic if stocks went from a bull to a monkey market?

Would it be more fun with a barrel of bears?

Could it ever get cold enough to freeze the whatcha-ma-call-'ems off a brass bear?

Could you monkey the brunt or be cross as a monkey?

Big question: do bears eat bananas?

I can't stop. I have to leave my house.

What if Smokey the Monkey told us not to start forest fires? Who listens to monkeys about *safety*?

What if Goldilocks did a home invasion with the Three Monkeys? Goldilocks would have had her face ripped off :(.

Would you panic if stocks went from a bull to a monkey market? Considering there might be poo flinging in the near future, absolutely!

Would it be more fun with a barrel of bears? I can see one very angry bear stuffed in a barrel... and it doesn't sound like fun.

Could it ever get cold enough to freeze the whatcha-ma-call-'ems off a brass bear? Depends on whether or not it's a polar bear.

Could you monkey the brunt or be cross as a monkey? Oh, Lord, Yes O_o. Monkies are terrifying.

Big question: do bears eat bananas? If we consider Yogi, the answer is: is it stolen? Then yes!

I can't stop. I have to leave my house.
Damn it, they are still neck and neck!

What about Monkees vs. Da Bears. Sure Ditka is driving, but I think all the girls trying to touch Davey Jones would cause such a glut on the field that the band could sneak into the end zone.

Bears.
Monkeys are clever, but bears are just... bears.

And as someone who has spent a good deal of time working at a zoo, I feel qualified to say this...lol.

Nathan,
If this is your cryptic confession to loving Joanna Newsom (who has a song named "Monkey & Bear"), then you just elevated in my mind from uber-fab to super fly. And that, my friend, is really saying something...

Intriguing question.

And one, I confess, I never gave much thought to. Until now.

I'd have to say bears. They have a certain majesty to them that can neither be denied nor ignored.

Ahhhhh, but they never blame the freakish paranormal attacks on Monkeys do they? It's always a Bear attack that turns out to be something seriously more sinister..

On that note, I think I'll have to shake my head and say that probably Monkeys are better. You've got to be cunning to maintain that kind of "cute" persona... I mean, the ninjas must feel a twinge of jealously at how easily they've got us fooled...

A friend emailed me this youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=590_mhAu ... re=related. Two things came to mind.

1. I wonder how many stories this clip could inspire, and
2. Hey! Nathan likes monkeys, he's gotta love this.

Sometimes monkeys can seem so human.

Enjoy.
