Friday the 13th
Did anyone else have a bad one? I'm not normally superstitious, but sheesh. Yesterday may end up ranking in my Top 10 Worst Days Ever.
First, I got a call from a Very Major Person in the Field In Which I Work -- someone I had, up to this point, only read about -- blasting me for attaching the wrong report to an e-mail I had sent out to a whole bunch of people. Hands shaking, I spent the next few hours writing retractions. I hope it was enough.
Then I burst into tears in front of my bosses at a meeting. And I couldn't stop crying. My eyes were leaking for the rest of the day.
Then, already upset, I completely fouled up my afternoon conference call and am stuck working weekends all month to make things right for a client.
Then a TREE FELL ON MY HOUSE (although the husband, terrier, and I are all okay).
Seriously. Next Friday the 13th, I'm calling out sick and spending the entire day sitting in the dark on the floor of my closet, which is downstairs and therefore not in the direct path of any trees.

I had a sucky day just because I didn't feel well. But nothing out of the ordinary.
Haper, that is an awful day! That really sucks. And a TREE FELL ON YOUR HOUSE. Oh, that's just carrying it too far. I hope today is better for you!!

Wow, that sucks for both of you. But Harper, especially you.
I however, had a really amazing day. Lots of shopping with my friends, dinner with the boyfriend, my mum finally bought me these really cute pair of shoes I've been drooling over AND I got a 'form' rejection. BUT it didn't worry me. Sorry guys, but my day was abnormally good.

Hang tough, Harper. Gotta get better from there, right? And at least a guy in a mask didn't chase you around with an axe...
And I think Heather should be buying us shoes if she's so happy. Just sayin'.

Well I'd let you borrow them Ink, but I don't think they're your size. Or style.

Bryan - Lol. Heather, no drinks from you. You'll buy everyone that evil Bourbon. Besides, there's really only one thing that someone who is having a great day owes someone who is having a sucky one. And that's ice cream.
With hot fudge and sprinkles.

*hugs*
Look at it this way, there's not another Friday the 13th the whole rest of the year. So the rest of 2010 can only go up from here, right? *hugs* again.

Look at it this way... you weren't home when the tree fell. You could have been hurt. *shrug* ;)

Re: Friday the 13th
I had terrible toothache in the morning. But I found a good dentist within walking distance of my house. Then I slept through most of the rest of the day, which is probably the best strategy.

J.T. Shea - good strategy.
And Mira? How 'bout some cookies to dip in that there ice cream? They're fresh from the oven.

Thanks, Ishta! yummy.
J.T. - hope you feel better! Hate toothaches. Hate dentists (nothing personal).
Heather - yum, yum, yum, yum.
Um.........I think I'm having another bad day today. Well, so far it's been fine, but I'm sure it's about to go way downhill. In fact, if I get cookies and ice cream, I'm sure of it.

Re: Friday the 13th
Oh no. Maybe I should have held back the sweeties...
And Mira, it's very possible I may be having a bad day today also (apart from the fact most of it will be spent sleeping). I have the big bosses coming in and moving us managers around to different stores. Every other time they come in it's ended with arguments (mostly just me yelling) so I don't have much hope for this time. 3 hours and counting.

Re: Friday the 13th
Heather, that's terrible. Big Bosses are always trying to push people around. Well, I hope it's either a pleasant surprise, and they do everything you hoped for, or it's at least overquickly!
And for this, I think you need more than ice cream. I'm thinking......Beer.

I'm moving stores but it's a good thing. So maybe we should switch the beer for champagne?
