Idiosyncrasies

Post by curtis » April 6th, 2016, 2:23 am

Do you go through a ritual before you begin to write? Do you have a shoe collection that requires a walk-in closet? Are you afraid of antique furniture? Tell us one idiosyncrasy. Two idiosyncrasies. Share as many as you like!

Here's a unique idiosyncrasy. When some people eat colored candy, such as Skittles or Gummy Bears, they pour them all out of the bag and sort them by color. They eat two of each color at a time.

Chiclephobia is a fear of gum. To the chiclephobe, gum is a menace that can easily find its way into any crevice in your mouth. Gum lays in wait. When it decides to strike, it will grasp tenaciously at your teeth. Essentially, people with this phobia believe that gum has the capacity to destroy your mouth.

The most famous celebrity with this phobia is Oprah Winfrey. Oprah was so profoundly sickened by this that she had banned the chewing of gum in her studio. Both employees and audience members. She eventually repealed the ban.
