epublishing blogs

Post by SylviaB » April 20th, 2012, 6:03 pm

Hi gang. I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm new here, and new to the publishing world as well. I'm in the process of researching how to publish an ebook but I'm finding it hard to sift through all of the information on various forums. I find the blog format so much easier to digest. Any recommendations for great blogs out there with good self-publishing tips? Thanks for your help - I certainly to appreciate it.

Check out David Gaughran's blog. He's a regular around here and very nice about answering questions. He has a lot of contacts in indie publishing to draw upon and a fairly strong handle on the industry in general.

I agree about David's blog. It's terrific, and it will also point you to other places from his sidebar and the comments.

Another suggestion, you might check out Mark Coker's blog and his book "The Secrets to E-book Publishing". He's the owner of Smashwords, an independent press that is highly successful backing e-books. He's kind enough to write this and make it available for free.

Here's the link:

Nathan also has a fair amount on self-publishing. You could go to his blog and look at the different posts there. That might give you some ideas.

There is a TON of information out there on blogs. I'm sure you'll find some good stuff. :)

Good luck!

Hi - Here's another blog that I enjoy: "The Book Designer" http://www.thebookdesigner.com/ - it has a nice layout and a variety of topics covered.
