On the whole pricing issue, one thing David said in his blog today, about seeing the prices of other historical fictions in his ballpark--it's something I've been thinking about. I think different genres demand different prices. If you look at the top selling fantasy indies, most prices at $2.99. I'm kind of tempted to go back up a little in price, since it hasn't seemed it affect sales much. But on the other hand, if Dalglish and Arenson and the other big indies are all $2.99, do I want to charge more?

Readheads Review gave Children of Sun and Moon a great review.
Maybe storyteller isn’t descriptive enough. Maybe I should say that Larkin is a storyweaver. His universe is chaos and brilliance and honor and destruction and love in once amazing place. I was completely captivated by the world that he crafted with the Solars and Lunars and cannot wait for the next book!!
If I didn't already have this thread, I'd post this in the squee thread. Because that made me squee. Yeah, I admit it.

Matt, that's terrific! What a wonderful review. That is so cool! :)

(And you could post this on the Squee thread, too. :)

I think you may be right about different genres having a 'sweet' spot for debut authors in terms of price. That makes alot of sense.

It's cool to hear about your journey - and good luck!

I'm far away from actually publishing, but I love hearing about people's experiments and what is working for folks.
Thanks seprus!

I did a fun interview about this recently, for the Open Book Society.

Amber Lynn Natusch, an Indie bestseller, wrote a review of Curse of Witch and War.

Makes me smile. Now I just need to gather some more reviews.

Nice one Matt.
My love of fly fishing and surfing connects me to rivers and the ocean. Time with water reminds me to pursue those silly little streams of thought that run rampant in my head.
