I am on somewhat of a Pratchett kick, although lately I am finding that he overuse of adverbs really bothers me.

Listening to Strata in the car.

Reading The Color of Magic

Also reading Omnivore by Piers Anthony for the hell of it.

I have a China Meiville book (Iron Council) unfinished in my car that I'd like to be able to muster up the strength to finish one day.

I have three unopened Vonnegut books I'd like to get around to eventually.

Not enough hours in the day...

Right now, I'm reading TINKERS by Paul Harding, the indie novel that won the Pulitzer Prize this year: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/19/books/19harding.html. Such beautiful writing! Recently, I've read several other wonderful novels: ROCK PAPER TIGER by Nathan's client, Lisa Brackmann, ANGELOLOGY by Danielle Trussoni, and THE PARTICULAR SADNESS OF LEMON CAKE by Aimee Bender.

Just read REALITY HUNGER by David Shields. Everyone's buzzing about it, but no one else I know has read it. For what it's worth, I didn't agree with everything he writes about fiction, but I still appreciated it.

I just finished WINTER GARDEN by Kristin Hannah. It was amazing! I've never read any of her older books, but now I definitely will. I highly recommend this book!

J.E. Browning's Tales of Roumanhi, Homequest: Liberation. It's a new author, and so far I'm really enjoying it!

Currently reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"

I know, me and everybody else right? Generally I avoid things that are too hyped, too mainstream but I must admit I find Larsson's novel compelling. I can't put it down!

I'm always reading a dozen or more books at any given time, but I just finished MORTAL ENGINES by Philip Reeve. First book of what's known in the US as the HUNGRY CITIES series. Broadly YA dystopian steampunk, but livelier than most and ends with a bang. A big bang, which I like. The bigger the better.

I'm reading Attilla: The Gathering of the Storm by William Napier. So far so good. It's the second in a series. I missed the first one, but it doesn't seem to be making any difference. It reads like a stand-alone.
