I just finished Bloodchained 2: The Secret of Secrets by Diana Laurence. I absolutely love the story!
Up next I will be rereading The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King. What can I say? I'm obsessed with his writing! Also, my favorite line ever is from that book. "The world had teeth and it could bite you with them any time it wanted." Best.Line.Ever.

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, actually I'm reading it for my World Lit. class. I do most of my pleasure reading during the summer. Best book I read over the summer was Mistress of the Art of Death by Ariana Franklin.

I decided to give Emma another read. Why does Jane Austen make me so happy?

unwieldy and Mark,
I thought Mitchell's CLOUD ATLAS was absolutely awesome. It's one of my favorite books.

Re: What are you reading now?
I just finished reading The Forest for the Trees by Betsy Lerner. I missed it the first time it came out. It's a wonderful book of affirmation for writers -- especially if you've been on the rejection path for awhile. Good read.
And last night I was at my son's school conferences. They had a book fair so I was able to pick up Leviathan by Scott Westerfield, and Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Love getting new books. :)

Harry Harrison - Stainless Steel Rat... for the fourth or the fifth time. And around five beta work parallel with it. :)
Re: What are you reading now?
Last night I just finished reading "The Hummingbird's Daughter" by Luis Alberto Urrea.
Wow. This book bowled me over. Okay, I'll even admit to crying during one scene - and that's only happened three times in my life while reading a book! This book touched me in so many ways. I'm even tempted to write to the author, and that would be a first for me...
