Raise your hand if the number of author deaths this year has just about broken your heart?
I thought maybe it would be a good time to create an "In Memory of..." thread so we can give them each a place to be remembered by the people who loved them the most - us.
I encourage everyone to post news articles on losses we've experienced and of course your personal attachment to them. What books did you read by them? How did they change your life?
Please share your memories here.

Sad to lose so many!
I'd like to add Nora Ephron. She was a screenwriter, a novelist and a journalist. Probably best known for directing Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry met Sally.
