Ordered JACOB WONDERBAR, anyone else?

Post by dios4vida » May 10th, 2011, 4:41 pm

I'm more than a little excited to get my copy of JACOB WONDERBAR!! I have a 7 1/2 year old niece who is dying for new books to read. I preordered this one to give to her for camp this summer. Anyone else snagging our illustrious Nathan's new book?

Me! I teach 3rd grade and can't wait to read it to them, though it may have to be next year's group because we only have two weeks left and they are jam packed. :-)

Amazon told me mine shipped and should arrive today. Of course we are having thunderstorms today and I'm a little worried my Fed-Ex man will leave the package on my porch and I'll come home to a soggy Wonderbar, so I'm crossing my fingers that he puts my box inside my screen door.

Amazon tells me mine is in the mail, so I guess it will roll up in about a week or so. And then I will have to fight with my seven year old nephew, who wants to read it first.
I'm the faster reader, I should get it first, right?

Ordered it for my 6th grade son's Kindle....question is if I can sneak it away to read it or if I have to let him finish it first. :)

I was trying to build up enough of an Amazon cart to get free shipping but I don't care. I'm going to order it this afternoon and hope it will be there when I get back on Monday!

I plan on ordering it for myself the moment I get home. I won't find it anywhere in a library near my home. This is exactly why I bought the Kindle.

Also, yum cupcakes and cake! I can feel the sugar rush already! :D Is it okay if I pop up the champagne? We need champagne for this.

I bought JACOB WONDERBAR not long after it debuted for my ten year old son and he really enjoyed it. He's also anxious to read about the further adventures of the three kids.

He's invited to a birthday party this weekend and asked if we could buy a copy as a gift for his classmate. I tried to upload a picture of the book on the shelf in the Skokie Barnes and Noble before we bought the last two copies, but it keeps telling me the file is too big. Once I figure out how to adjust the size, I'll post it.

Thanks Nathan, for all that you do, including writing an awesome book.
