Explained why I've left poor Father Baegert hanging at the ruins of what is left of Mision San Luis Gonzaga after unusually heavy rains.

Old computer gave up the ghost and trying very hard to become accustomed to the new Dell Inspiron with Windows 8.1 and the new keyboard.

Hope to get back to it this upcoming weekend.

I had an epiphany! Someone read my latest short story and told me it was passive, dull, and boring!

Ouch.

See what I did about it at A Soldiers Stories @ http://lvcabbie.blogspot.com

Did you know that, before the arrival of the Americans, Native Californians did not have tribes?

Huh?

Many of you may be too young to remember or have lived through the Cold War. The big fear of NATO was that an overwhelming force of Warsaw Pact armor would invade Germany through the Fulda Gap and allied forces wouldn't be able to hold them back.

My latest blog post is an insight into what a Russian tank regiment stationed in East Germany was like and can be read @ http://lvcabbie.blogspot.com

My Non-Nerd Review of Windows 10

Image

As I'm already running Win8.1 – and probably didn't know better – I signed up for the free release. On the morning of the 29th, I read something warning me to back up my PC so I started by erasing everything on my backup thumb drive – 3 blasted hours! That was followed by transferring my Documents, Music, Pictures, and Video to the back up – another darned 3 hours.

If you want to see the rest, go to my blog @ http://lvcabbie.blogspot.com

Oh yeah, here's another techie review @ http://www.popsci.com/i-used-windows-10 ... u-will-too

A post on social media that was picked up by The Guardian: http://publishingpush.com/blog/your-soc ... gy-stinks/

Social media is always a hot topic especially for authors. So why waste your time relentlessly tweeting or posting updates to the same fans and followers? Are they multiplying rapidly? If so keep doing what you’re doing. If not, then you should keep reading about Social PR.

Hope it helps :)
