Episode 9 of my podcast, "It's Not Just Words", is now available. In this rare mid-week episode, I discuss the online bullying culture and the response to GoodReads and other sites attempting to curb such behavior on from their users.

Today I took a (slightly tongue in cheek) look at the Books vs e-readers debate: http://www.scribis.com/e-reader-vs-physical-books/

'How the toilet has grown to become such a popular place to read that ‘toilet literature’ has become a phrase in its own right is one of life’s un-answerable mysteries. Gentle journalism in the National Geographic vein and lightly humorous non-fiction a la Eats, Shoots and Leaves are the classics of the genre, occupying space in the downstairs loos of millions. However, the hygienically-minded reader may find the idea of leaving such reading material lying around in such surroundings somewhat unpleasant. It is perhaps a little too – how do I put this delicately – absorbent.

So digital technology comes to the rescue. Sync your smartphone app to your kindle, and you can slyly steal a couple of minutes reading time wherever you are. That includes nipping out to the toilet whilst at work to check how things are coming along in the latest Song of Ice and Fire novel you are on.'

My latest episode is now available in which I talk about the pros and cons of traditional and self-publishing: http://www.spreaker.com/user/anmanatsu/ ... publishing

(if you listen via iTunes the feed is currently broken so new episodes are not coming over - working on fixing that now!)
