I have a guest post from our very own David Gaughran! What's more, I'm giving five copies of his awesome latest short, Transfection.

Check it out: http://claudiea.blogspot.com/2011/06/sc ... truth.html

Do you say "between you and I", or does it annoy you that other people do?
Here's why you're right to get annoyed:

I have a guest post today at Claudie A.'s blog. It's a piece called "Science, Fiction & Truth" and I talk about some of my heroes and prejudices in science fiction, what goes into a “high concept” idea, and the Radium Girls. I really, really enjoyed writing this, and I would love if you checked it out. Oh, and she is giving away five free copies of my e-book.

Yesterday I asked people at my blog what areas of science scared them. Today it's my turn with... viruses! http://claudiea.blogspot.com/2011/06/sc ... e-out.html

For the record, the giveaway of David's Transfection continues until next Thursday, so you can still answer the above question on his guest post.

Ever had an idea just drop out of the sky to lodge itself in your skull? That sounds a bit more visceral than it really is, but there's definitely something oddly traumatic and surprising about them. Where did they come from? Why are they here? How can you possibly use them? Read more at http://harbingercodex.blogspot.com/2011 ... rises.html
Hi, my name's Fenris. I'm a thousand-year-old monster who's broken free to destroy the world. Your kids will love me!
