It’s official: the Authors Guild has lost the plot. In their (seemingly endless) quest to smear Amazon, they don’t care who they wheel out as an injured party. Spoiler alert: it’s PublishAmerica. Yep, you read that right.

The Devaluation of Facebook

Post by ellisshuman » July 5th, 2012, 8:04 am

Is it just me, or has Facebook changed? I am being confronted by advertising everywhere I turn.

What do you think? Has Facebook outlived its welcome in our virtual homes?

Check out my new blog post:

The last two months have been my best to date, largely on the back of very strong paperback sales (they make up 25% of my income now). I've put together a post on why you should always do a print edition, whether you should use Expanded Distribution, and how to get your book into indie bookstores.

I've written a post today explaining how I've not managed to sell a million ebooks, it is invaluable reading for those of you wishing to fail at e-publishing.

I kind of hate myself right now, because even though it's been a long time since I posted in these forums, this is where I got my honest to goodness start. I wouldn't know a damn thing about publishing if it wasn't for NB, and then later BR. Those guys are my friends and brothers.

Anyway, I don't come here much anymore to promote my own blog, because it doesn't feel necessary, but my kid recently started blogging, and I would love it if you all would check out her third post: http://middlegrademadi.blogspot.com/201 ... ities.html

Thanks so much.
