How many times must a person revise? Depends on the person, and sweating the details is exhausting!

Yesterday I started a series on icons by looking at Young Arnold. Today, I go in a very different direction: Bob Dylan, in honor of his 70th birthday.

A Portrait of an Icon as an Old Man:

9 Things Dylan's Memoir Can Teach Us about Iconic Creating (much of it is applicable to creativity in general)

I'll be starting a series on the little story behind some scientific discoveries. This is the post about it: http://claudiea.blogspot.com/2011/05/co ... ience.html

I start on Monday. I swear, some of these would make great novels.

Today I introduce the first of the episodic tales, called The Dynamists. This is a leap of faith for me, as mainstream fiction/romance is certainly not my forte. Stop by and check it out, and remember to tell me what you think! http://harbingercodex.blogspot.com/2011 ... rn-p1.html

Today, I covered the big news from BookExpo America that got everyone talking. Barry Eisler has shocked the publishing world - again - by signing a trade deal with Amazon.

I look at why it's a smart move by Amazon and an even smarter one by Barry Eisler.
