I like your site. It has personality, but it's not overtaken by badges and ads and such things. The first paragraph of your bio is awesome, and I love the background on your main page. You've inspired me to work on a more cohesive* site. Right now, I have a site for writing excerpts and a blog, but they're separate. I don't know why I never considered linking them with one site the way you have.

I was going to ask about the car, but I see it's been covered here. My novel is set in the 1960s, and I've been shopping for a dark blue car for my main character. I really like the Continental you chose. Gives me something to research, and maybe I can find something similar.

*Not sure cohesive is the right word, but I was up late for NYE, so that's the best I can do.

Caroline - Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I think that self hosting the blog on my site is one of the better decisions that I have made. If you find the right host, it can be as little trouble as one click to make it happen.

As for the car, there are tons of cool 1960s cars. I've always loved the Lincoln Continental for the clean lines and of course the suicide doors. If you're interested in a smaller car, the Ford Falcons are really nice.

Steph.s, don't obsess! I love cars, and books, and cars IN books, but I don't obsess as a reader about car mistakes, unless it's a non-fiction book all about cars.

CBridges, vast though it was, that early Sixties Lincoln Continental was hailed as a classic of understatement, particularly compared to its even bigger and much fussier-looking predecessor. Steph.s is not alone in admiring its clean lines today, but it is probably chiefly remembered as the car in which President Kennedy was assassinated (in a stretched convertible version).

I like your website, Steph.s, but I have to tell you, there are no fairies in Cork. Oh, wait...A whole bunch of two foot tall people have just appeared before me. But don't worry. They're all obviously just figments of my imagination. Even the one hitting me with his shillelagh. I'm just imagining the pain. And the blood. And the broken bones. Now they're all at it. All just imaginary, of course. Aaarrrggghhh!

J.T. - You wouldn't but there is always going to be that one wise ass that will nitpick me to death over using the wrong car image on my site. Trust me, I know more than one of those.

Steph.s, to save other Bransforumites the bother of Googling, let me say the shillelagh, usually pronounced 'shillaylee', is the traditional nobbly Irish blackthorn walking stick. They're still made and used here, but you'll probably see more in the New York City Saint Patrick's Day Parade than in the whole of Ireland!
