Hi Nathan,
I have a question about my private data with the publisher, here is the situation:
I write a book. I find Agent A to represent me.
Later, Agent A gets a deal with Publisher B.
Luckily, the books sells, so Publisher B does a deal with foreign Publisher C to translate it into Japanese.
Regarding these three parties (Agent A, Publisher B & C) I wonder if they will or have the right to get my:
1. Name as signed on the contract.
2. Name as appear on the bank account.
3. Bank account number.
In particular, I really want to know if the foreign publisher (C) can have the right to request my personal data.
Thanks a lot,
John

2. Only if you give it to them
3. If Publisher B contracts with Publisher C, Publisher C will pay Publisher B
I don't recall a publisher that insisted on bank account information in order to make payments (though it can make things easier). They may, however, still need your Tax ID #.
