I finished my first novel and it was a brilliant idea that I loved executing, but now I"m stuck. Any idea I get now I end up shooting down for whatever reason within a few days. This has been going on for about two months, and now I have an idea I think will stick. But how do I get the passion alive? Any techniques or ideas?

Re: How To Keep Passion In An Idea
I think maybe you just haven't thought of the right next idea yet--when you know you know. In the meantime maybe try writing some short stories and just start some novels and see where they go. One of those may surprise you and lead to something else that leads you to the right idea. Good luck!
