Can I get an agent even though I live far, far away?

Well, here it goes...
I live in Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. I am an aspiring author and I am afraid that my book might not be published or taken by an agent.
The reason why I post this is that I have very important questions to ask;
1.)Even though I don't live in any place In US, can I still have my book published there?
2.)Can I get an agent in a foreign country instead of having an agent here on my country?
Please reply ASAP so that I will know if it is possible. And if it is not, I will no longer continue anymore my dreams of making my novel a NYT bestselling.
