I need to get NaPoWriMo out of my system before I even consider signing up for NaNoWriMo again.

casnow- they do have a Young Writer's Program, where they have changed the word goals depending on age. I think for most high schoolers it is 50k, but for like first grade it is 1000. If you go the nano page, they have a link to that program.

Yes, I run a creative writing club at my school and the children were allowed to set their own target word count. We are still working on editing them but I am hoping that all of them will be able to get their own proof copy of their book and that it will set them off on a lifelong love of writing!
