Not sure if this should go in the writing forum or the procrastination forum since it's a bit of both....
NPR is having its latest Three Minute Fiction contest---the basic rule is that you have to write piece of fiction that can be read in three minutes or less and is 600 words or less---For this particular contest the story must start with the line:
"Some people swore that the house was haunted."
Plus, your story must end with this line:
"Nothing was ever the same again after that."
