Looking for a Critique Partner for Literary Fiction

Critique partners are worth their weight in gold. So (checking financial page) like $20,000 a pound.

Looking for a Critique Partner for Literary Fiction

Post by SplitInfinitive » March 22nd, 2012, 1:35 pm

Well this seems to be the saddest category on the forum in terms of responses, but I'll give it a shot just in case. I'm in the final stages of preparing my manuscript before sending it out to agents and would love to have some objective feedback from someone interested in multiple perspective literary fiction. Comparable examples (and obviously I'm being generous to myself here) would be Egan/Visit from the Goon Squad, Messud/Emperor's Children... and so forth. I would be very happy to read in exchange. Thanks - SI

I may be interested? We can swap first pages to see if we match.

I may be interested in reading it. I'm a literary writer who is working on a literary/contemporary YA though it is not ready for Beta reading at the moment (still in the first edit phase). I'd love to take a look. How long is it? Let me know. The more critique partners the better!

Thanks Trw! I'll send you a note as well. It's relatively short, after this last round of revisions, it should come in around 55K.

I'm likewise interested if anyone wants to send me something or look at my work. I just finished a novel and it's almost polished. You can see a synopsis for it at viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4748

It's a Science/Fantasy with deconstructive elements. Basically, there was technology, but after civilization crashed it's only seen as magic. Sure, it's a genre piece, but I try to keep things as literary as possible. If anyone is looking for a thoughtful, educated critiquing partner, send me a message.

Hello.

I'd be happy to help out, if you're looking for more critiques. Your book is short so I could probably complete a critique in a week.
