Just wanted to let you know, since so many of you helped me fix my originally terrible query, I was asked for a partial based on my query letter ALONE! (this agent only wanted queries submitted, and she responeded 2 days after I sent it!)

So THANKS to all of you for your help! I now know my query letter isn't the thing holding me back ;)

Which version of your query did you use when you got the request?

Yeah...there were so many versions...haha. The one I sent is the one on my blog--minus the "why I'm querying" and sentence about myself (which I included that I work with writing critique partners. I had coffee with an agent that reviewed it and said I should include a little bit about what I was doing with writing NOW ie high-traffic blogs/forums/critique groups). So, the version I ended up with is basically the version you edited last on here, plus a few other little things she suggested ;) So....GREAT job!
