How to write a query?

Post by Sweet Venom » February 20th, 2014, 12:42 am

Hi, I'm new here. When I say new I also mean new to social networking. I'm struggling with just navigating this website...I'm a complete newbie to all things technological!

I see there is a thread here about posting queries, and threads regarding feedback for actual queries. Is there a thread on here that informs new writers on how to actually write a proper query? If not, do any of you recommend a website with accurate and trusted information? I apologize if there is a thread out there that answers my question. I really...really do not like computers.

Janet Reid's query website is really useful in the process of writing a query. Janet is an agent who critiques queries submitted to the site and points out several do's and don't's:

This blog post also helped me a lot in figuring out the bones of my query:

I hope that helps!
