I have a blog, (Obviously) But I don't stress out about keeping to a schedule. I post whenever I want. It's much less stressful that way!

An ARC of book called 'The People of Forever are not Afraid.' It's about three girls in the Israeli army. So far it's fantastic.

Re: Constantly second guessing
First of all, breathe. It will be ok. I don't think it's a horrible thing to write two projects at a time, but it is difficult. I'm working on a novel, and a full-length dramatic play that is my Grad thesis. It sounds generally from the post that you're more intrigued by the autobiography. But I don...

Re: The Coffee Shop - JUNE
So I decided to do the thing I tell everyone NOT to do. I'm going back and revising what I have of this draft without finishing. GAH! I know! You can throw things at me now. But I was stuck, and I figured out an entirely new format of the book that is now helping me to move forward, but it will be t...

Re: Other Forms of Expression
I do a lot of different things. I'm currently working on a Master's of Theatre Performance, which is another form of expression. I sing. I dance (mostly wildly in my car), I draw. My family is super artistic so we always have craft projects kind of lying around the house. This summer specifically, I...

Re: The personalized touch in queries
It can. It can also be a couple brief sentences about why you decided to query them in the first place. But while it's nice, I don't think you should feel pressured to do this. I've seen many strong and successful queries that have only the name personalized. Just make sure you get the spelling righ...

Re: Sample pages for an angent
I know Nathan will get to this, but I'm going to go ahead and say that you said it yourself. When sending sample chapters, should I start at one, or five where my story really starts? If you story starts at Chapter 5, then your book should start at chapter 5. No one, especially agents, want to read ...

Re: The Coffee Shop - JUNE
Thanks for the pump-up guys! I don't think it's anything inherently wrong with the book, I think it's the pressure combined with so much writing publishing stuff going on in my life right now. 1. I am writing this book. 2. I am writing a full length play which is my graduate thesis. 3. I am an edito...

Re: The Coffee Shop - JUNE
Ugh. Guys. GUYS! I'm in need of some encouragement. I know that may seem strange given all the great news that I've been sprouting over at the Squee thread, but this WIP is not behaving. My last book was so easy to write, as writing books go. It felt effortless, and it was truly enjoyable. I couldn'...
