Re: Sci fi recommendations
Thank you all for the help! I was able to pick up a couple books from the library and will check out some of the others when I'm done with these two.

Re: Prospect Agency
So today I figured I'd give it one last shot... and it went through! I won't lie, I was pretty shocked, but at least that's one more agent I was able to query.

Prospect Agency
I've been trying to query Becca Stumpf at the Prospect Agency through their submission form but it keeps coming up as an error. I've tried it with three different browsers multiple times and get the same message. On the AbsoluteWrite forum I learned that a lot of other people are having the same pro...

Re: Sci fi recommendations
I found a book called The Snow Queen by Joan D Vinge (I think). There are possibly humans but it doesn't look like they're Earth humans and luckily my library has it. So, yay! Breakthrough.

Sci fi recommendations
I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. I need sci-fi recommendations. I recently finished my first sf novel after having read very little of the genre and want to educate myself. The problem is I'm looking for something very specific and while my searching has turned up lots of interesting ...

Re: A Touch of Madness
Query 1: When Gliane and her comrades are sent by her planet’s Representatives on a simple fact-finding mission to the Maircla Desert everything quickly goes wrong. A scientist injects Gliane with a formula which makes anyone who touches her literally go mad. She accidentally uses her new power to ...

Re: A Touch of Madness
Ok, here goes again... The one thing that I'm most unsure about in this version is the very last line. I was trying to do something not cliche and interesting(I guess that's the word I want) but think I may need to dial it back a bit. Anyway, thanks for all the help! Duty above all else is what the ...

Re: A Touch of Madness
So the reason it's so vague is that to add in all the detail you guys are talking about it would basically turn into a synopsis and I already have one of those. I can only include so much and picked out the most important details. So if anyone knows how to be detailed, but not too detailed without t...

Re: The Horror of Hayesfield- YA HORROR
I would greatly appreciate any time taken to critique my query thus far. I will gladly return the favor, as well. When Adam Harlow (I really think you need to specify his last name right away just because when I got to the next paragraph I was really confused because I had thought "Harlow"...
