Thanks again, OneChoice. I like your suggestions. :)

Re: Query for RONNIE IN HIGH SCHOOL
OneChoice - You had some helpful suggestions. I think I'm going to ditch the 2 different high schools thing and just stick with one school to make it less confusing... It seemed symbolic or something when I first wrote it that way but now I see it just confuses readers. :) Thanks for your help!

Re: Query for RONNIE IN HIGH SCHOOL
cheekychook - Thanks, your feedback was really helpful! fivecats - I was wondering if some people would feel that way... I can definitely add the reason behind that decision. If others could weigh in on that too, I'd be interested to hear if you think that would pose a big problem, or if you agree w...

Hmm, yeah, I can't give you a number but the verse novels I've read have been really, really short. Hope that helps? haha. But go you for writing one!

Re: Suggestions for YA Realistic Contemporary Fiction
I want to bump this post up because I'm also interested in contemp. YA suggestions. A lot of these sound great. Personally, I am looking for something that doesn't involve dead people or dying people... I'm looking for really normal YA stuff. Ya know? I'm reading HOW TO SAY GOODBYE IN ROBOT and so f...

Re: Rejection Stats
Rejections on a full AND a partial today. And the full rejection was form. I'm starting to think that this book just isn't going to happen. NO!!! DON'T GIVE UP!!! Remember that all agents have different ways of doing things... The form rejection person might be one of those who ask for a full on ev...

Re: Rookie Mistakes?
OMG, how could I forget??? Describing the main character by having him/her stand in front of or pass by a mirror or other reflective surface and pause to admire his/her own heart-shaped face or strong jaw and piercing blue/emerald green/chocolate brown/slate gray eyes and flowing/unruly cascades of...

Re: You have another think coming
Until recently, I thought I wasn't supposed to "lick a gift horse in the mouth". I thought that was a very strange thing to say, but my dad said it all the time so it must be right. "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" makes a lot more sense. Oh, and I once wrote "for all ...

Two itty bitty questions
I have two sort of technical questions about sending my MS (not that that time has come yet, but hopefully it will soon...) 1. My novel has a Part One and a Part Two. Currently my chapters start over at Chapter One at the beginning of Part Two. Do you think an agent would want the chapter numbers to...
