Re: Ask Nathan
A question sparked off by the other poster's mention of series writing. Basically, I'm wondering what happens if an author has 2 submission ready books at the same time: Totally hypothetical situation in which you've got a book on submission. It's a stand alone novel, with "series potential&quo...

Title: Arclight Genre: dark YA fantasy (241 words) All I have to do is close my eyes. I can sneak four... make that three... minutes before the bell signals next class. Mr. Pace won't care, he's in his own world of numbers and letters, and I lost track of what he was saying half an equation ago. A n...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
I found what I think is a pretty good explanation of Lost (and its finale) here: http://forum.lostpedia.com/someone-bad-robots-take-finale-t59261.html?s=2a9e8a4f73c54ba0febab7eef1085fae&s=a89b40f29f59fc4e62cd5c360bee5e42& It's written by someone who worked for Bad Robot up until about 3 yea...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
There was a scene with Walt and the others (an outtake, I think) where Ben's talking to Michael about taking Walt back and he says something to the effect of: "He was too much for us, anyway." If the kid hadn't had that monster growth spurt (darn that pesky puberty!) Walt would have probab...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
That one's pretty easy to me. Walt died on the raft/boat, even it was just for a moment (people drown for a few seconds all the time). Being dead gave Smokey "permission" to clone him. The first time he did it, he was cloning Walt as he looked dead, which was water logged. The 2nd time, w...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
In the event that you still have questions, you are not alone!!! http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1936291 LOL Haha... amazing. WHY WAS WALT WET??? That one's pretty easy to me. Walt died on the raft/boat, even it was just for a moment (people drown for a few seconds all the time). Being dead gave ...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
It's not an alternate universe. They established that last night. It's an afterlife they all reached when they died in the real world. Well they didn't necessarily establish it. They said it was left up to interpretation. I guess it's just the way most be interpreted it. Just not me. No. They estab...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
haha yeah I didn't realize his name was Christian Shepard either until Kate said it like that. And by the way, I do not think they are all dead in the alternate universe. Just sayin'. It's not an alternate universe. They established that last night. It's an afterlife they all reached when they died...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
Keep in mind that the guy who set up the brilliance that was the first 2 years of Lost's mythology didn't write seasons 3-6. Had JJ Abrams written all 6 years, it would have been a different show all together (just look what he did with that short 2 1/2 hours worth of clean up). The show was plotted...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
So, did they pull it off??? I stopped watching in the middle of season two. I felt sure they were just making it up as they went along, and I figured they'd never make it work, not in a million, zillion, trillion years. Not unless someone woke up in a shower and it was a dream. Did they? If they di...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!
I never believed the Michael was a whisper explanation, either, but it's the only one they've given so far. Throughout the show whispers came before the Others, and I assumed Michael was a Smokey incarnation. The whole "don't blow the plane" was a bit of a red herring that led to them losi...
