Re: "Meet my wife. She's an Agent."

Thanks, everyone!

And thank you for the advise, Guardian. I did research her and she is legit, having been in the industry for 25-plus years. Although it does appear that she is more of a freelance publicist these days...

"Meet my wife. She's an Agent."

Hello Everyone, I want to share an interesting thing that happened last night. We were at a "Boxing Day" party at the home of some long-time friends. I sat down with a nice plate of food, and a moment later a man that I'd never met sat down beside me. We exchanged pleasantries. And then he...

Cookies!

The holidays (Hanukkah and New Year) are my excuse to fill the house with cookies. Yeah. Oh, yeah! Rum balls, anyone?

I was horrified by the whole thing...

Re: What are you reading now?

Last night I just finished reading "The Hummingbird's Daughter" by Luis Alberto Urrea. Wow. This book bowled me over. Okay, I'll even admit to crying during one scene - and that's only happened three times in my life while reading a book! This book touched me in so many ways. I'm even temp...

Re: Any advice on my novel's feedback?

Hi Craig, I struggled with some of the same things in my novel, so I feel for you. This is harder than it seems, isn't it? I have some thoughts regarding the things that you mention. Regarding the "too fast" issue, I think the concept is fascinating. I wonder if you can make it work by sho...

Re: Forum game: Random facts about you

Three random facts about me: 1) I have six cats. Yeah - verging on being a crazy cat lady! 2) I play the classical guitar. Wonderful, beautiful instrument. I study with a great teacher, and I perform in a duo. Fun stuff. Our duo website is: www.arveyfrancis.com 3) Two years ago on a trip down the Am...

Re: Forum Game - a story 7 words at a time

Crystal sat at her desk, unhappily reading her query letter for the 9,284th time. Her cat, Quincy, jumped directly on the keyboard of her laptop, deleting her synopsis. "Stupid cat!" she exclaimed, but then she noticed he was out of food. "Sorry Quincy." They had nothing left to ...

Re: Forum Game - a story 7 words at a time

“The witch used it for a spell.”
Quincy licked his paw. "A talking-cat spell."

"Great. No beer and a talking cat."

'I ate the three word story cheese. And Mira left out several lines. Meow!'

Crystal laughed. "Meow, yourself. Mira gave me
