Re: The SQUEE GOOD NEWS Thread

I just found out that I was one of six "top pitches" out of over 100 in the YAtopia contest to get a full ms request from an agent :D :D :D And was encouraged to submit a full length query (the contest was to do a 2 sentence pitch) While I wasn't the one to get the full ms request, I am so...

I got five pages into it before a magical portal opened up and my character was imbued with wizardly powers.

Re: What inspired you to write in your genre?

My dad used to tell me stories about young women who did amazing things, went on adventures, saw the world. It just made sense to write about adventure, and girls like the ones I used to think of when I was scared. You know a story has been told right when you want to live up to the character.

He Typed, She Typed by Amy Turner and Mark Van Wye. So amusing. A light and fluffy read for when you have lost all faith in relationships

Everyone deserves a cat :) Cat's for everyone! They're perfect companions for reading. Keep you warm by lying on your lap while you get so involved in the novel you don't notice the fire went out/radiator died/power outage

Loving the fact that there are no more taboos. And it makes sense that paranormal is reaching its peak. It seems as if there's been a large wave of it the past few years.
