I have no idea, I guess I'm just odd. :geek: You probably aren't. Let's face it, male characters dominate much of literature. Up un...

Re: Share your poems

I LOVE these. These are so awesome!!!! Who knew we had poets among us???? And polymath, medusa and sommer, thanks for your kind words about my Ketchup poem. I have to warn you, you'll only encourage me if you do that. I'm serious. I've been having some very poetic and lyrical thoughts lately about....

OK, I can't resist. I'm back to share another one :D : Desert Rose As I gazed upon it, I realized it was beautiful The single rose growing up from the sand Defiant color stood against the dismal sky Amazed, I looked…I wanted…I felt…I loved. Yes, I knew better than to claim the rose Yes, I knew bette...

Re: Share your poems

Oh yay! Where's a hand-clapping emoticon when you need one? Polymath, I am humbled by your compliment. Thank you. I took my time reading your poem--I enjoy the way you string your words together. Your writing has a certain texture to it that is well-suited to poetry I think. I also enjoyed the unity...

Start one! Start it in the Writing folder. We'll all contribute, no matter how bad (and mine, my friends, is pretty bad.)
As you wish!

I want to hear your poems! The good, the bad, the ugly, whatever you want to share. I'll start with a little favorite of mine. *ahem* 15 Minutes I have 15 minutes to kill And I find it’s dying very slowly. My gun is out of bullets, you see, And a knife is just too damn bloody. I wrapped my fingers a...

Re: Out of curiosity

I write humor, prescriptive non-fiction, memoir, picture books and really bad poetry. I'm not going to stop writing the poetry. There is nothing that gives me quite so much joy as writing poetry, I don't care if it's really bad, it is beautiful to me. :) :) I too have authored a few really bad poem...

Maybegenius--yeah, I saw your excerpt out on the critique thread. I liked it! My last NANWRIMO novel was steampunk-ish.
