Re: How many projects do you work on at once?

I'm a definite one-at-a-time kind of person.

Re: Writing. What's your favorite part? Your Hardest Lesson?

I've heard people say that they hate writing but love having written. I wouldn't say I hate it, but I find it really difficult. I love having a finished work even though it's always really tough to get there.

My hardest lesson was slowing down.

Re: Ask Nathan

Nathan, I'm looking for a good book to read from your client list. I'm eying Brad Geagley's YEAR OF THE HYENAS since I am interested in ancient Egypt, and the book looks good from all I've researched about it. I'm curious if there are any titles you've agented that are closer to Sci-Fi/Fantasy, tho...

Re: The New Website

Hey, thanks so much for the suggestions. I think the idea with the forums being self-contained is that people who are deep in the weeds in the forum will want a way to get back to the top of the forum so they can see all the master categories. Hence the typewriter going back there. There are still t...

Re: Future of publishing?

If I can slide a similar question in, as an agent, how do you feel about WeBook.com? I noticed Colleen Lindsay is trying them out this month and I'm curious about your take on it. Is there any transparency for you as to who is "filtering" queries before you receive them? I can't imagine h...

Re: Future of publishing?

I don't know about scam, but I also don't know if it's necessarily the future either. My impression of Authonomy is that it's cool if you want feedback and/or if you don't take it too seriously, but it also strikes me as thoroughly Machiavellian, and whatever rises to the top in Authonomy through re...

I have to ask. Where and how did this monkey fetish start?
I believe it all started when I got into a staring match with an orangutan at the San Diego Zoo and the orangutan won.

p.s. - if you click on the 'forums' link while already on forums (although why you would do this I don't know) you get a 404 error instead of the forums homepage thingy.
Thanks Jazz, we're working on that.

Thanks! Hope you feel better. And pardon the dust as I get this whole forum thing figured out.
