Re: Query Help? - SftOS

I hate sounding like a MeToo bird, but this is a very nice query. I would drop out the bit about being observant, and helping your father with his research paper, but other than that, it's a keeper.

Re: To e-book or not to e-book?

And, by the way, Mr. Bookman, did you know about this system? It came from one of Nathan's Friday links, and sounds like something you would enjoy using. rose B&T’s Blio system is raising the bar ... combining simple authoring tools with a delivery platform that enables enhanced editions. It won’t t...

looks best on the shelf
How many bookshelves would a book agent have if a book agent would shelf bookshelves?

Seriously? Does your place resemble a bookstore?

Re: My father had nothing to do with making that ship disappear.

I think most of us need feedback. Oh, yes. If you have anything in process that you feel you need fresh eyes on let me know. Thank you again for you help. I also see now that part of my problem as the co-author has been in finding the right POV after maintaining strict invisibility throughout the w...

Re: Query critique - REVELATION

Just my luck, I finally get to a query before a half a dozen people have combed through it and Nathan has gotten there first. What's left to say? I liked the query, too, BG, although I thought "little acorn" was redundant and it seems to me that Eli probably doesn't unfold, but does some other less ...

Re: My father had nothing to do with making that ship disappear.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mira. You must have sprinkled some magic fairydust over that last reply, because my eyes have been opened and I see what my problem has been: I'm trying to make a synopsis do the work of a query. Duh. Funny, how blind I can be to the source of my own difficulti...

Re: Short Story eBooks

I think you are right, Casnov While out scarfing up material for my reader, I found the ScribD site, which is populated by user contributions. I saw a few author-offered short stories and short story collections in their free sections. I could totally see why an aspiring new author might put a story...

Your query seems to be about one revision away from ready. I too, love the last line. Those need to be pithily perfect and yours is. ...

It's not a spelling error but coming across the word utilize makes me wince with a chalk squeaking on the blackboard kind of pain.

Yeah, I know, Moses. <g> You and I were among the first posters here and I recognized your name as one I had just seen when my astrologer husband, John, was showing me all his befriended new friends on his newly built Facebook page.
