I think genre-specific forums tend to divide the members into groups and that's no help. The person best able to help you may not visit the fantasy forum because they write romance. Writing is writing and most of the craft crosses genre boundaries.

Funny you should mention bunny rabbits. I have a scene in one of my books where a two of my characters roast bunnies over a fire for dinner.

I definitely stick in my POV character's head for a fight scene. I don't give an overview of what happened, I tell it all from what they experience.
