Pretty sure it's throughout. But really, this sounds like a question for Polymath.

Re: What are you reading now?

Just finished reading ONE BREATH AWAY by Heather Gudenkauf. It was a pretty good read. It takes an interesting approach to POV in that all five major characters speak in the first person. Each chapter is done from one person's POV so we know everything that's going on from the way they see things. I...

Re: writing coach partner

Wow, this sounds like just the thing to get me to get my butt in gear! So, after 8 weeks, and after you've had a chance to rest and relax, I'd be interested in partnering with you. I'm about a third of the way into a novel and have stopped writing. I don't know, life got hectic and I took a break, b...

Easter Sunday

Today is Easter Sunday. Some celebrate this day (and the days leading up to it) by doing something special. Perhaps you'll be in church? Or Synagogue? Maybe you'll be at home in front of the TV? On this day my family and I woke up to find baskets and candy for the kids. We will get dressed up and go...

Music does this for me all the time. I don't see why it couldn't happen with an awesome book that really speaks to you.

Re: Need to revise a sentence.

Most POV problems can be solved by putting the idea into the character's thought. Make it something the son is actually thinking.

Strangely Quiet

So, things have been pretty quiet here on the Bransforums. I'm hoping that's because everyone has been so busy writing and editing they haven't had time to check in. Well... how have you done? Did you accomplish a bit of craft over the holidays? Or were you neck deep in parties, gift-giving, and foo...

Re: Bad writing is an oxymoron...

Such a view is incredibly simplistic. While it's true that visual learning is powerful, Humans are not robots- we are not doomed to repeat whatever we see. If this were so, all we would need to do to help someone is show them a video of the right way to react. Out of the millions and millions who w...

Re: V.O.I.C.E. query REVISED 2

Hi! Congratulations on finishing your novel! It's quite an accomplishment in itself. Now for the dreaded query, eh? This looks like you're on the right track, but still needs a few things, I think. When you're writing your query ask yourself a few questions: What is the problem - what is the big th...
