Re: Nathan's on vacay. Should we have a party? Maybe a ball?

I'll take a model from both Gucci and GQ. After all, they're the most powerful mythical creatures around. And Margo, of course you can bedazzle their chests. If there's any jello left to toss, Claudie, feel free. Hmm... I think we should convert Nathan's desk into a stage. Then dig out a moat and fi...

Re: Nathan's on vacay. Should we have a party? Maybe a ball?

Well I'm late to the party as usual, and Margo has already bedazzled my ball gown. As an apology for not being there when we knocked out the walls I have brought an offering of Irish folk dances and traditional Scottish bagpipers. We can throw them in a corner for extra classy-ness. I also thought w...

Re: What genre do you read the most?

YA Fantasy and most stuff by Jane Austin. They're just the kind of books you *know* will have a good ending.

I'll also read chick lit but only by authors I know and trust.

Re: Can you write anywhere?

I tend to need a fair bit of quiet and solitude. I'm so easily distracted, it's ridiculous. If there is TV, music, people around I have no chance of getting anything done.

Unfortunately I don't turn 21 until March so I get to just feel lousy about it.

Good luck to you!
Move to Australia. I'm 21 and have been legal for years now. I can barely remember what lousy feels like...

Re: Nanowrimo

I'm one of those that can't write without complete isolation - I get too easily distracted. I am going to the meets even though our region barely has 10 people :)

It was the year 1850; or at least, it was today.

Re: How many books do you read per week (or month)?

I probably read about 3 new ones a month and buy at least 10. I'll start at least 7 of those but I quickly lose interest. I'd much rather focus on my WIP but I know a healthy amount of reading has to be done, too.

Re: Nanowrimo

I've done NaNoWriMo in the past, and I loved the people I met doing it, but my writing style runs pretty counter productive to the intent of the event so I haven't done it since those first two years. But I'd love to be everyone's cheerleader! I'm a great cheerleader. Cookies, hot chocolate, and co...

Re: Do you like books that make you feel happy or sad?

I'm definitely in the boat with the rainbow gang. I'm a very emotive reader, so if a book ends sadly I'll generally be in a bad mood for days. I don't mind so much if there's a sequel and the sad ending can be justified but if I invest a lot of time into a book/series and it disappoints me... oh man...

Re: Nanowrimo

I was going to use it to rewrite my current WIP but now I'm thinking it may be better to take a month off that one. Now I'm not sure if I'll work on one of the two ideas I have sketched up, or if I should give rewriting my first novel a go (and by rewrite, I mean keep the characters and scrap the st...
