Re: My writer’s block is soooooo bad…

Ha! Hilarious!

My writer's block is so bad that...

... I think it gave me ADD. I just got sidetracked by the tv and spent the last three minutes watching a show instead of writing my sentence about writer's block.

Re: Oh delete, you're so tempting

I appreciate all of you greatly! It's nice to hear that I'm not alone and where everyone else has been. And I love all the great ideas for how to handle the issues in my writing. Amazing constructive inspirational advice. Thanks so much! I'm going to work on my scaffolding and see where that leaves ...

Re: Thorough is a must! Maybe a group?

Did anyone decide yet that a group would be a super awesome way to go? I've got a paranormal wip with some romance thrown in that is on it's way to a minor/major overhaul. The characters will be the same and most of the elements will, too. It's my backstory that needs some serious work. But I would ...

Re: Oh delete, you're so tempting

Thank you so much everyone! While trying to bide my time and avoid the delete key I've been working on clarifying/solidifying my backstory and I think I'm getting close to a firmer foundation to build on. I have read all of your great and encouraging advice and promise to take it to heart. I appreci...

Oh delete, you're so tempting

Okay, need some serious encouragement/writerly advice/kick in the pants. 75,000 some words into my wip and I think I may have to scrap it all, or at least a good portion of it. The more I've thought about it, the less original my plot seems, the less thought out my backstory is, and no matter how lo...

Ever want to stop the presses?

Have you ever gotten so frustrated with your wip - for whatever reason (failed save, writer's block, plot seems iffy, having a bad hairday, etc) - that you just want to scrap it all and give up? Because I'm there right now. 72,000+ words, over halfway through my plot, and I'm ready to throw in the t...

Re: Do you have a new blog post?

I have a new blog, does that count? It's a personal blog about day to day shtuff with some photography, poetry and teasers about my wip thrown in for good measure. Anyone who'd like to stop by, your visits would be much appreciated! And feel free to leave me a link to yours and I'll visit you! ~heat...

It's interesting to read about these. Have fun!

Oh, and for the record, as feisty as I am, I might have just scrapped the phrase, too. At least I hope would have.

Re: What happens when...

Thanks em! And treeoflife, I don't think the switch isn't perceptible to the reader. I think it is to me because I'm the one who's on the inside. I will have to go back and make a new beginning, though, befitting of my new main character. It's silly, but I feel bad because someone else has taken up ...

What happens when...

... in the course of your story, a different character takes over as the main character? As I began my wip, I had a main character and several major supporting ones in mind. As I've progressed through the story, one of my supporting characters has become stronger than my original choice - there is m...
