Re: The first chapter of a novel

I absolutely hate it when a book starts off with a dream sequence. Its such a tease. I also don't appreciate a huge action sequence in the beginning either, because the rest of the book tends to drop the excitement as it goes on, which is another let down. Slow and steady, hmmmm... Summer Reading for kids

I'm hyperventilating over here with summer break officially starting next week. I'm trying to put together a summer reading list for my 8 yr old. Her favorite book so far is Gulliver's Travels (she calls her little brother a 'yahoo' when he annoys her)... Here's what I'm thinking: (I'm open to more ...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Someone on TV.com just brought up the ending where they showed the empty beach with the crash scene, and they were no camps. It was either an homage to say bye, or it was the writer's way of saying "everyone died in the crash, and all of it happened in the after life", which would be THE. WORSE. EN...

I was waiting to see Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio make a cameo with Celine Dion playing in the background. http://www.youtub...
