Justin Beiber Writing a Memoir... oh, he's 16 yrs old

C'mon people... How can a 16 yr old possibly write a memoir? This is laughable. Is the publishing industry so hard up it will push anything?? Anything??

First draft (40K) in about 2 months. Completely scrapped it, because it was CRAP!!! New project should be finished in about 5-6 months total (75K)

Re: Best Fantasy Books

Was hoping this would come up, but I have to admit I LOVE Dune, by Frank Herbert. I loved the first 2, but didn't get into the last 3. Any love for Dune?
Anyone, Bueller, Bueller... ;)

Re: How do you celebrate finishing a book?

Great ideas, but the day I type, "The End" I am eating carbs!! I haven't eaten a damn carb in over a month, so the idea of have a plate full of carbs is making me type faster and really focus on finishing.

We should do a Mockingjay party or something August 26 (2 days after it comes out). I know I am going to want to talk to someone about it

Re: Trend: the acknowledgments page

I actually enjoy reading the acknowledgments. As a writer who hasn't been published yet, I would want to publicly thank my family, friends, agents, and everyone who stuck by me and encouraged me through this process.

Re: Does your writing smell?

Great post. I just finished reading "Word Painting" by Rebecca McClanahan and it addresses the importance of using senses other than sight. I went through my MS and tried to incorporate more senses into the scenes, which made it stronger.

Highly recommend it.

I'd probably lean toward Rogue's ability- being able to capture another superpower.
