Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

To be fair, apparently, J.J. Abrams stopped writing it after season 2, and only stayed as executive producer... the writers are the two dudes we saw in the pre-finale special. I think the ending in the church was cheap and cheesy. Ok, we finally get that the flashsideways was the heaven or the after...

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

Well, I'm not angry, so that's something! It was definitely cheerful to have the series end on a high and happy note... the reunion was touching, and I think it's brilliant that all their memories came back, and those who were destined to be together were. However, I do not feel like the loop is com...

I assume he'll die when Jack throws him in the light... or something like that.

And holy crap Lipidus is alive!

Re: Lost - Possible Spoilers!

It's only been 25min but now I'm betting that all the flash sideways are actually what happened after the island was destroyed (I assume it will be destroyed)... and the flash sideways will become the new present.

BETS ARE IN!!!

Re: Ask Nathan

I was wondering what happened to promised advances in a multiple book deal if the contract is forfeited for whatever reason by the publisher (bad sales on first book for example). Say someone is promised a 35k advance for a 3 book deal in 7 settlements (1/7 at signing, 1/7 at delivery & acceptance o...

Re: Too much for my poor little nerves

Congrats, FK7! And I second JadePhoenix - starting a new book makes all the difference (although you just barely started querying this one, it sounds like, so you can definitely give yourself a little time to recharge:) ). Out of curiosity, what's the genre of the book you're querying? It's funny b...

Re: Buying A Domain and Setting Up Professional E-mail

You guys can get your domain at http://www.namecheap.com for 9$/year (.com, .net, .org, .xxx, .info, .whatever, ...), and I can provide with you free hosting. I don't mind hosting your website either, providing it's related to writing. I already pay 2000$/year for a private dedicated server to host ...

Re: Too much for my poor little nerves

It's a philosophical sci-fi novel... might be science fantasy, it falls around those lines. I guess I could start book #2 of the planned trilogy, beyond that, I have no room in my brain for another book universe ;) Thanks for your advice and encouragements, you guys were the first I wanted to share ...

Too much for my poor little nerves

I started querying on the 18th. Sent 9 letters so far. Got four form rejections already, including a 22min one from our favorite agent Nathan. I felt depressed for a good hour, but kept my head up. That was yesterday. Today I got two requests for a full, one of them includes an agent who's in my "to...

Re: Big Agent/ Little Agent

I would respect the submission guideline word for word. I wouldn't try to get around the guidelines hoping to get the assistant instead and "get lucky". it could backfire.

Re: Big Agent/ Little Agent

I would still consider submitting to bigger agents... Meyer submitted Twilight to Jodi Reamer at Writer's House, arguably one of the most prestigious lit agencies in New York, and got picked up. It's reported she was lucky, because it was in fact an assistant who read the MS and because of the assis...

Re: The Super Incredible Pre-Agent Tester!

I sent my first five queries yesterday, and tonight I had two requests for a full and one personalized rejection in my inbox! Still waiting on the other 2!
