Re: When Google steals your word...
I think "nexus" has enough weight to it to stand on its own if you still want to use it - it's not like it's a made up word like "iPhone".

Re: Writer Support Groups?
I'm working through the thirdish draft of an epic (urban) fantasy and have got good feedback from a few beta/friend readers, but it's really hard to find people who are willing to invest the time and interest in something like this. From my experiences as a beta reader, one reason people become rel...

Re: Ask Nathan
Would you consider further characterizing those numbers in any sort of (haphazard even) manner? Like, is 82.098884% just raw, shouldn't-even-query-their-mother, type drek? 9% has potential, 2% good, but not my thing, .07% revise & resubmit? If this is already a blog post somewhere that I missed...

Re: Ask Nathan
Nathan, if I recall correctly, I saw that you read something like 7,000 - 10,000 queries a year and take on 2-3 new clients a year. Re: Monkeys vs. Bears
Bears. Monkeys used to be the best tanks until the pet family normalization, but now the Bear's Swipe is definitely superior to the Monkey's Pummel, since it can easily be replicated by the Intimidation skill. :: slinks back to her geeky corner :: I was wondering if I was the only one who could rea...

Re: Writer Support Groups?
Thanks for all the awesome info for a question I would have asked eventually! *goes and checks out the various links* I'm working through the thirdish draft of an epic (urban) fantasy and have got good feedback from a few beta/friend readers, but it's really hard to find people who are willing to in...

Re: Writing. What's your favorite part? Your Hardest Lesson?
The thrill of completion certainly is something, even if it's only a rough chapter. I suppose my favorite part is finally seeing the things wedged in the back of my head make it into text, and watching the transformation they undergo along the way. That nothing ever winds up the way it started fasci...

Re: Monkeys vs. Bears
Is there anyway the monkeys can get the bears saddled? If so, I think that settles it.
