My two worlds collided! When a photographer and a steampunk author get together... :D

Re: Should Writers Avoid Being Reviewers?
I do understand what you're saying and I understand what I'm saying, so I'm sure there is a happy middle ground somewhere. lol I guess it all comes to down to how responsible you are with your words. If you can review a book negatively, but with class, you probably won't be looked down upon (I guess...

Re: Should Writers Avoid Being Reviewers?
I think it's just one of those things where you have to do what feels right for you and then cards fall where they fall, you know? I think times are changing so much with the internet, visability of authors separate from their books, etc. as to why it's becoming an issue now, as opposed to when revi...

Re: Should Writers Avoid Being Reviewers?
But what I mean is what I write on my personal blog could be exactly what causes me to lose my job or be unhireable. The same thing with writing. In a sense, the agent/publisher is our employeer. My boss isn't my parent, but you better believe I would be held responsible if I posted how I hated a fe...

Re: Should Writers Avoid Being Reviewers?
The point, to me, is that you should treat it as you would any employment seeking situation. I can't post on my blog negatively about my fellow teachers and expect to a) get a job if I'm looking for one, or b) expect no ramifications in my current position. Could you? That screams unprofessionalism ...

Re: Hunger Games Movie
Hugh Laurie would be great and so would RDJ, so I'm good with both. Megan Fox? If they cast someone in their twenties to play Katniss, I'm going to be really mad. I pictured a true teenager. Besides, Megan Fox is too scrawny and the wrong kind of pretty. I didn't see Katniss as some stunning beauty,...

Re: Your first Pargraph!
Mine has changed from what I entered and I'm still not happy with it: Whispers about the outsider’s capture seem to be everywhere I turn today, but I’m trying to ignore the chatter. It’s not to say I lack curiosity about his arrival, because I’m most certainly curious, but knowing I’ll be face-to-fa...

Re: Hunger Games Movie
I'm just now watching Lost on Netflix (I'm obsessed, btw). She would be pretty good! I think the chick from True Grit would be pretty good, too. Just looked at another picture of her and her skin is actually a pretty solid olive.

Paused w/ Black to read my friend from high school's manuscript that was recently purchased by Harper Collins.
Then back to Black…isn't that a CD or something…and then Matched came in the mail. :D
And on the 11th, I'm ordering Across the Universe. I'm so excited for that one. :-)
