Generally, either Borders or Barnes & Nobles. Sometimes, from an airport giftshop or bookstore. I've never purchased a book online, although I'm not opposed to it.

Honestly? Not as much as I should have. I'm doing final revisions and it's driving me insane. I would so rather be working on my wip, but I HAVE to get the first baby finished and out the door.

So in total, about 12 hours at the computer this week. I hate real life, sometimes.

I am terrified of doing anything that might piss off the literary gods, whoever or whatever they might be. So as I fondle my manuscript to death with wave after wave of revisions under the guise of "polishing," I find myself sitting around and thinking of the poorhouse and how I'm going to...

First sentence frm my wip:

The boy plopped his backpack onto the floor just outside the stall closest to the window and deftly slipped the Heckler-Koch G36 mini assault rifle from its hiding place between his American History book and a pair of balled-up sweatpants.

Because, you know, we deserve some attention, too.

And because my driveway is already impassable, and we have 24 hours of snow to go!

My completed project, which I'm revising in hopes of querying soon, is character-driven, mainstream fiction with literary underpinnings. Oh, with lots of plot. And swear words. So there.

Well, after a bit more polishing, I've sent my query off to an agent! Yikes. And no, not Nathan. Not sure if I'm ready for that yet.
