Re: Do you have a new blog post?
Are you addicted to or dependent upon the internet @ http://lvcabbie.blogspot.co I am completely dependent upon the Internet but I go out of my way to avoid addictive behaviors. The Internet can be a huge time stuck for the undisciplined. I'm barely on Facebook anymore, and never on Twitter -- but ...

Re: What are you reading now?
I just finished "The Windup Girl" which is pretty good. It takes place in an interesting and plausible scifi reality. It won the Hugo and the Nebula! Now I am reading "Interview with a Vampire" for the first time. I am about 2/3 of the way through and I gotta say that this reads ...

Re: Does this Blurb Make You Want to Read the Novel?
This second treatment is much, much better. Also, I find that reading things out loud helps when writing a blurb or any sort of advertising copy. The language in these pieces should be simple and punchy. Compare this: A janitor finds himself in a life threatening situation after agreeing to hold a b...

Sounds promising if he gets it off the ground. I like people who, unsatisfied with the current system, create something new and competitive!

Re: 3D BOOK BOXED SET COVER TEMPLATES
I have given your site a thorough perusal and I think your templates are neat. It seems they took some ingenuity and I may purchase one just to see how it works! One thing, I am in the United States where the book cover is on the right side of the spine and not the left (the way it is in Japan). Is ...

Re: What're the challenges facing in the Self-Publisher's world?
And there is this - we are often so engrossed in telling our story at length that we ignore how to sell it as briefly and eye-catching as possible. How many novelists could make a living working in an ad agency? Good call Longknife! Marketing knowledge is helpful for anyone who has decided to take ...

Re: Self-Publish--need help!
Some may call me a son of a motherless goat, but I like publishing with Amazon's Createspace. If you can provide them with the designed interior and cover you pretty much don't have to pay Amazon anything to publish. They take a share of the profits from each sale, but they handle POS, printing, shi...

Re: Rubik's Cube Plotting in 9 Easy Steps
This is a wonderful device and I may use it in the future. I did Nanowrimo one year and got a bunch of my friends involved. I didn't end up finishing the novel but I did get a bunch of writing done AND more importantly I learned how to have a regular, consistent writing schedule!

Re: Keep Publisher or Self-Publish?
A decision like this is one you have to make yourself. If you are excited about taking a hand in your own destiny then self-publish. Self-publishing the right way takes a good deal of dedication and some resourcefulness but it isn't impossible. I would do some research on online marketing, writing s...
