Re: Looking for feedback on my query letter.

OK, Thanks Robin. I know I have a tendency to use WAY to many semi-colons. It's definitely my Achilles' heel. I often don't even realize when they are taking over. I appreciate you taking the time leave feedback;;; ;)

Looking for feedback on my query letter.

Dear (Super Powerful Literary Agent Dude), I am excited to be submitting my autobiography to you because it is similar to (Mr. So and So’s LIFE STORY). Since you represented this autobiography, I am hoping you will love my book, entitled MY STORY WITH COMPLETE HONESTY. My family has always had an ov...

Re: Why do you want to be published or why do you write?

I love this question. Thanks for asking. My family has always had an over sized closet of well hidden skeletons. I write as an attempt to brake down those walls. I have thoughts, I have emotions and I am not going to hide from them. I write because it is undeniable proof that I am alive.

Re: Query: The Truth About Rabbit Holes YA Fantasy

I don't have any constructive criticism to add beyond what has already been stated. However, I did want to say that this sounds like an interesting book. I like the story line and it sounds captivating. Good Luck with your query!

Re: Looking for Honest Feedback

Thank you for your feedback. I did in no way take it as harsh. I appreciate the constructive criticism. You were right. In my memoir, ;) I do dive heavily into each major event in my life and how it helped to shape me. That of course does include the process of coming to grips and enjoying my own se...

Re: Looking for Honest Feedback

Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to give me your opinion. I knew that the querie didn't flow as well as I would like. Sometimes it really helps to have different perspective to point out the things that should have been obvious. I think you made a lot of g...

Re: What's wrong with it, please be critical

When I read over my original post I could see where it could have been easily misunderstood. I have not yet actually sent out any queries. I feel as if I have not sufficiently polished my letter and I am reluctant to send it out incomplete.

Re: What's wrong with it, please be critical

Perhaps you should take a little bit of time to explain your writing style; as opposed to just the story line. The story line itself seems good. I just want to know what the ultimate reason for the book is. What kind of book is it? Is it funny, romantic, or straight forward? Is there something you w...

Looking for Honest Feedback

I have worked very hard on my book. I have polished and re-polished. I am finally ready to start sending out my query letters. However, I want that to be as well written as possible. I am struggling with the debate as to how much information about my life I should include. I want to express just how...
