Re: What's your best social media site?

For me, most used to least used, it's:

- Tumblr (I have two blogs running - one kinda smutty and one not)
- Twitter
- WordPress
- Personal website
- Goodreads

I don't yet have a Facebook page for my writing pseudonym, and I'm not sure if that will actually happen.

Re: How do you like to use Goodreads?

I've tried to use Goodreads -- but I just can't seem to intuitively grasp how the site works. I have the app on my phone, too, but that's just as confusing to me. And I'm quite techno-capable, so it's unusual for me to be confuddled by a site. (The other site I find confuddling is WordPress... but I...

Re: "Perfect" Novels

Orphan's Triumph by Robert Buettner It's book 5 in a 5-book military SF series. The series hit some highs and lows and the final book had a very interesting feel to it -- after a lifetime of having his world (physical world and metaphorical world) destroyed by the enemy, Jason Wander is tired of war...

Re: My first full!

Thanks! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, because I know that it's still easier to get rejected than accepted, even at this stage. (My partner had an agent consider his novel for a month before passing.) I have a quasi-friendly connection with this agent that extends back a few months befo...

Re: NaNoWriMo 2012 - Prep

I'll be NaNoWriMo-ing this year! I don't know how much I'll get done as I have a major paper for university due mid-month... but I have two projects I'm working on -- one is a MM romance and the other is to rewrite my old sci-fi. I have a great (at least I think it's great) sci-fi novel filed away. ...

My first full!

Woohoo! Got my first full request! And it was the first agent I queried! Any idea roughly how long I'll be waiting to hear back? I think someone once told me it could be a few months, but probably less than six. I suspect that the answer is that there is no answer... that each agent is different... ...

Re: Writing Sins

I overuse the word "slowly." I don't often describe the speed at which something is being done if it's at normal or quick speed, but I definitely put in "slowly" if it's being done "slowly."

Re: Family interference

I have the opposite problem. My partner writes fantasy and works a lot harder on it than I do on my own stuff (well, maybe not "harder," but our working styles are different and so it appears that he's working endlessly). So quite often I get this: Partner: "Shouldn't you be writing?&...

Re: Any M/M erotic romance writers in here?

No, not M/M. But maybe M/W. Under a pen name. In the distant future. I've thought about it. Seems like it would be pretty fun to write! :) Coolio -- I was quite hesitant about giving it a try, but, well, now that I'm in the midst of it, I find I'm really enjoying it. I'm also finding it allows me t...

Re: The Introduction Thread

Hey all, I'm a bit of a lurker and thought it was time I officially joined. My first love is writing science-fiction, but I've taken a bit of a detour lately. I sort of stumbled into the M/M erotic romance sub-genre and am giving it a solid try. I don't know if there are any other writers of this ge...

Any M/M erotic romance writers in here?

Yo! I've lurked around this forum long enough, I might as well create an account. I'm a writer of M/M erotic romance -- well, actually, I'm a writer of science fiction, but I'm branching out into this new genre (under this pen name). Anyway... was curious -- any other writers of M/M erotic romance i...
