Brilliant, thanks for that, Ink. I knew I'd read about them somewhere!

Re: the secret to writing a query

Please could someone point me in the direction of Nathan's query letter examples - I've been hunting around and can't find them. Cheers!

Re: All thoughts are welcome...Query**

It sounds really good! I think you have over-used the name Christie though - you could replace it with 'she' in places. Also I wouldn't end with 'Would you be interested in the manuscript' - I'd be inclined to put something more formal. I love the way you have packed so much into so few words. It ce...

Re: Confession time

Maybe I'm being frightfully British here...but I prefer to get up, get dressed (into something co-ordinated), brush my teeth, do my hair and make up (lipstick included), have some toast and coffee and THEN I'm ready to write - phew! Somehow if I feel untidy and messy my writing becomes untidy and me...

Re: Query for Debut novel

Hi,
A very concise Query. Well done on that! (Think I need to cut mine down now!)

Audrey Frincke is a lonely twenty-something hacker living in her uncle's house in the Boston suburbs. Shot at...

Re: Night Butterfly - third attempt - feedback welcomed!

Sounds like an interesting and well thought out storyline. I like all the changes you have made so far - to me it makes it easier to understand what is going on in your MS. However, I'd be tempted to change around the information in your last paragraph so that it isn't as easily confused with the ex...

Re: Any other writing teachers?

I've been teaching children (of all ages) for almost fifteen years now. The thing that really gets me going is Creative Writing - you can have so much fun with it. Problem is, I've spent so long using other Authors' books and extracts to highlight particular lesson objectives, I now moan - the old '...
