Without taking apart the book and looking inside, it depends. Spacing and indentations can be controlled well for Kindles. Did you upload the .mobi to KPD, or did you use an epub and let KDP convert it? It's likely that there's an issue in the way you (or whomever did it) converted the book to .mobi...
