A novel written by an English woman, I read a few years ago, had a few British phrases said by Americans. So it is wise to check. I saw a funny video a while ago about an English woman going to a l...

Writers: The Pleasure Seekers

The New York Times ran an article just before the new year on Pleasure Procrastinators . Yes. You heard right. I can't believe it either. There are actually people who put off pleasure? Re: Does anyone write humor?

I write some humor in my WIP, which is a murder mystery, so, it can't be all humor, people are getting killed after all.

Also, I will be writing some in my blog. It's part of my personality. The Class Clown syndrome.

Re: Music or quiet when you write?

My story takes place in 1964. So I put together a playlist from that era to conjure up the spirit of the times.

And it does.

Re: How do you write?

I seem to write along in sequence, until a random scene from later in the story pops into my head, so I write that, then go back.

I like the card idea, though. Thanks for sharing it.

Re: Writer's Block

My attention span can be short, so if I'm lagging behind a bit, I switch to writing something else. A short story idea, for instance. Something new, to excite me, and then before I know it, I'm back to my main story. Just needed a lift, variety, spice and all that is nice.
