Re: I'm offering free copies of my debut novel
Just a gentle nudge to the top. There's still most of a week to get your free copy. Check out the rave reviews: "I am loving it! I got the first 3 chapters read so far and I'll read more tomorrow. The great part about having a do nothing job is that I can read. I wish I could read more tonight....

Re: Using 'this' in past tense
OMG, this question is so relevant to me. I feel like my entire MS is breaking tense left and right. It's supposed to be told from 1st person POV, past tense. I keep finding myself confused about whether it's ok to use lines like, "Her nostrils flared and her lips tightened. I've never seen her ...

Re: W.I.P. Feedback: How Much Is Too Much?
I think it depends a lot on the quality of the feedback. One really good crit would be more helpful to me than 20 well meaning people giving wishy washy opinions.

Re: Writers and Being Lonely
I'm finding balance really hard to maintain right now. It seems like the days of writers being hermits who get to spend their days writing and being eccentric are long gone. Now there's so much pressure to get out there and promote not only your books, but yourself, to the entire internet. I spend m...

Re: Writers and Being Lonely
I have mixed feelings about this question. I spend all day with my bf while we work on our separate creative pursuits (I write, he programs). I can always talk to him whenever the urge hits me. At the same time though, I've started trying to reach out via social networking since I decided that I'd l...
